I didn't install the Companions update until Expeditions came out.(No use for pets) So, the way TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS.MXML acts now started with Companions or Expeditions update. NMS wants to set my Numhigh/low settings to 8/9 on a six core 12 thread system. I set it to 8/4 (and set the file to read only) and the game seems to run better.
Go into your No Mans Sky installation folder, binaries and then SETTINGS. For me it's: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\Binaries\SETTINGS
1 - Type cmd (Command Prompt) in the search bar of the Start menu and then click Run as administrator. 2 - Enter chkdsk /f/x/r/v. The system will ask you if you want to run CHKDSK after restarting the system, press Y on your keyboard and then type "Exit" and restart the computer, it will scan in DOS mode.
Sorry if i put this in the wrong category but i am new to pc gaming and i received this pc from a friend and i was wondering if i could run the game No Mans Sky on it, so my specs are quad core 2nd gen amd A 10-5700 3.4GHz Accelerated processor, 12 gb ddr3 system memory, AMD 290 graphics card
For NVIDIA: On the blank desktop screen, right-click and select NVIDIA Control Panel. In the left pane, click on 3D settings > Manage 3D settings. Click on the Program Settings tab and choose No Man’s Sky. Select a high-performance NVIDIA processor. To apply changes, save the changes and reboot the PC. That’s it.
Building a PC isn’t everyone’s cup of tea though, and if this includes you a pre-build for under $800 will run No Man’s Sky on low settings at 1080p without a problem. Higher graphical presets will require more oomph though, and a $1,000 pre-built PC will be needed for these settings at 1080p, a $1,500 pre-build for 1440p, and a $2,000
